On this day in herstory…

March 31, 2012 § Leave a comment

On the final day of Women’s Awareness Month and Women’s History Month I’d like to leave you with something that happened on this date in 1776.

Abigail Adams wrote to her husband, John Adams, these words from her famous “Remember the ladies” letter:

“If particular care and attention is not paid to the ladies, we are determined to foment a rebellion, and will not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we have no voice or representation.”

236 years later, her moxie is still so impressive. As we count the days until next year’s WAM and Women’s History Month, I hope you’ll hold her words close and be inspired by them.
